TOKYO. A 24-year-old was arrested in Tokyo after he wreaked havoc with a knife and started a fire in a train in the subway, causing 17 injuries, including one serious. The Japanese media have released images of terrified passengers fleeing the flames that invaded the wagons. Many have alighted out of the windows of the Keio Line train on the western outskirts of the Japanese capital. “I wanted to kill someone to be executed,” the young man told the officers who arrested him. The 24-year-old stabbed some passengers and then poured gasoline to start the fire at Kokuryo station where the convoy stopped after the emergency brake was applied.
