“Journalism’s Great Leap Back in China” is the title of the 82-page report released Tuesday by Reporters Without Borders (RSF), which documents the unprecedented acceleration of Beijing’s campaign of repression against the right to information.
Specifically, the report examines the regime’s silencing tools against journalists and the deterioration of press freedom in Hong Kong, once a model of freedom and now with a growing number of journalists arrested in the name of national security.
