The famous khaki fleece sweatshirt worn by the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky it was sold for 90 thousand pounds (about 105 thousand euros) in an auction at Christie’s, in London, as part of a fundraiser in favor of Ukraine.
Auctioneer was the British premier Boris Johnson, who immediately suggested that the price of the garment should have been much higher than the initial one, set at 50,000 pounds. In fact, at the end of the auction, that pile was sold for almost double the starting price. The international media write it, reporting Johnson’s words, who urged people to “spend big”, calling the Ukrainian president “one of the most incredible leaders of modern times”.
Among the lots presented at the auction there is also the rooster-shaped jug given to Johnson during the last few days’ walk with Zelensky in the Ukrainian capital.
