“We are very satisfied with this new collaboration with the Fondazione Teatro Comunale di Modena because beauty, culture, music and theater are fundamental elements for the well-being of people and communities – says the Head of the Communication and Health Promotion Area of the Local Health Authority of Modena, Massimo Brunetti -. We will work harder and harder to ensure that all public and private institutions invest with even greater interest in initiatives and projects of this type”.
“The Fondazione Teatro Comunale di Modena has been committed to issues of inclusiveness for many years, declares Aldo Sisillo, Director of the Fondazione Teatro Comunale di Modena -. As part of our artistic seasons, there are numerous initiatives that allow disadvantaged or fragile audiences to participate. While waiting to be able to resume our tradition, interrupted by the pandemic, of hosting the elderly of the assisted health residences of the Municipality of Modena in the general rehearsals of the operas, some projects of particular interest continue, among which we point out ‘Opera Inclusiva’, which allows sighted and deaf people to participate in some opera performances thanks to a path with tactile tables, audio guides, video presentations in sign language. Now with this new project ‘Pagine d’arpa – Musiche per la mente’ we can reach a range of audiences that will hardly be able to access the theater hall and, directly in the so-called Gymnasiums of Memory, give the emotions that only music can create. The talented harpists, coordinated by Davide Burani, offer the participants in the meetings musical moments during which they also tell the salient elements of their artistic career and introduce the pieces, allowing for a musical, but above all emotional journey “.
