The initiative rewards quality honey in the categories of wildflower, rhododendron, dandelion, lime, chestnut and honeydew
Registrations are open for the twenty-seventh edition of the Aosta Valley Honey Competition. There are six categories: wildflower, rhododendron, dandelion, lime, chestnut and honeydew honey.
The award ceremony for the best quality honeys will take place in the autumn during the Festival of Honey and its derivatives scheduled in Châtillon on 31 October 2021.
Beekeepers wishing to participate in the competition have until 2 pm on 31 August to present the samples of honey produced in Valle d’Aosta to the analysis laboratory of the regional agriculture department. It is possible to submit several samples even if they belong to the same category, as long as they are produced in different areas of the region.
The rules, the registration form for the competition and the sampling form of the XXVII Valle d’Aosta Honey Competition are available on the Region’s website in the Agriculture section.
