Fenerbahce remains at the top of the 2023/2024 Turkish Women’s Championship. And, this Sunday (11/2), with a good participation by Ana Cristina. The Brazilian was a starter and one of the highlights in the victory over Sigorta by 3 sets to 0, partial scores of 25-17, 25-20 and 25-19.
The young winger finished the match with 12 hits: eight on attack and four on block. Ana Cristina even had the best block numbers in the duel. Shirt number 12 was replaced midway through the third set by Meliha Ismailoglu.
To include Ana Cristina in the starting lineup, coach Stefano Lavarini left Serbian setter Bojana Drca-Zivkovic on the bench, using Turkish player Buse Unal. In addition to the Brazilian, Polish opposite Magdalena Stysiak and Russian winger Arina Fedorovtseva were the other foreigners selected.
And both also reached double digits in scoring: Stysiak scored 13, while Fedorovtseva contributed 16 more, six of them on serve.
