The Congolese footballer, member of Rayon Sport de Kigali, Héritier Luvumbu Nzinga saw his contract terminated by his club, after having celebrated his goal by paying tribute to his compatriots from the east, on Sunday February 11 against Police, in a match of Rwandan national championship. The news broke 24 hours later.
The gesture displayed by putting his hand on his mouth and a finger on his temple during this meeting was poorly digested by his club and in the land of a thousand hills. For Rayon Sport, there is club discipline respected off the pitch as well as on the pitch.
However, many Congolese on social networks continue to welcome this gesture from the former member of AS V.Club and winner of the African Nations Championship (Chan) in 2016 in the country of Paul Kagame under Ibenge.
Moreover, he is already nicknamed “the living hero” for this outpouring of solidarity and compassion for the victims in the eastern part of Congo.
This fashionable gesture was also outlined by the Leopards at the time of the national anthem, during the semi-final clash against the Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire, which ended in a 1-0 victory in favor teammates of captain Serge Aurier, the future African champions.
