The second season of ‘Celebrity Masterchef Flanders’ will continue as planned. This is reported by channel Play4. Since yesterday, a judicial investigation into juror Nick Bril has been underway following his accident in early January.
“We – like everyone else – sympathize enormously with the victim and his family. And of course we are certainly not blind to what is going on around here,” the channel’s statement said. “Celebrity masterchef Flanders, however, is separate from what goes on in the private sphere of our jury, it is a program in which the ten candidates take center stage and give the best of their culinary selves. All filming for the second season had been completed at the time of the events. These are two very separate issues.”
The new season with ten well-known hobby chefs can be seen on Play4 from March 4.
On Wednesday the news emerged that a judicial investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the accident in early January in the parking lot of The Jane restaurant. Nick Bril drove over his English assistant chef Joe Claridge there after a New Year’s party. His condition is still bad. In addition, it is being investigated whether Bril initially tried to conceal the fact that he hit Claridge. (eadp)
