Africa: African aviation grows in January

African civil aviation has made a strong start to 2024, recording an 18.5% increase in traffic in January. This was revealed in the latest monthly IATA report, cited by Agence Ecofin, according to which it is the second best performance by region, behind Asia-Pacific.

Africa represents 2.1% of the global air transport market. In other regions of the world, the trend remained upward for all carriers, with increases of 10.8% in Europe, 16.2% in the Middle East, 12.3% in North America and 17.9% in Latin America.
