(LaPresse) The heat wave that has hit Latin America since the beginning of the year caused the perceived temperature to rise to a record high of 62.3°C in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this weekend , while rain was threatened in the south of the country.
The perceived temperature is the highest in the last 10 years. Emblematic of Rio, the beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana were stormed by citizens on Sunday.
