In Serras, Fernanda Marques takes a close and investigative look at two essential aspects of contemporary design production: materiality and craftsmanship. Taken as the primary raw material, wood determines most surfaces and structure. Punctuating each piece, marble and metal, in turn, reaffirm the organicity of the design, creating highlighted areas, more or less functional.

Through asymmetrical lines, organic design and insertions of materials with enhanced textures, the furniture has as its reference point the unique relief of Serra do Mar, a stretch of tropical forest, which separates the Brazilian states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

In total, the collection features five typologies – dining table, coffee table, side table, sideboard and console – which, in turn, unfold into multiple configurations, based on variations in structure, tops and inserts; made of wood, metal or marble. Always presented in a state close to raw, valuing the organicity of their constitutions.
