Venezuelan State Pensioners to Receive Increased Minimum Income
The official deputy Francisco Torrealba has announced an increase in the minimum income for retirees of the Venezuelan public administration. State pensioners will now receive a minimum wage of $91 indexed in bolivars, a move that will be complemented by the Great Grandmothers and Grandfathers Mission promoted by President Nicolás Maduro.
Torrealba also highlighted the recently approved Pension Protection Law, which will have a contributory nature and is expected to have a significant impact on increasing benefits for retirees. The deputy expressed his commitment to working towards the protection of grandparents in Venezuela.
Teachers, civil servants, and retirees have recently participated in a teaching demonstration in Caracas, demanding better salaries, pensions, and working conditions. The ongoing efforts to improve the financial security of retirees in the country are crucial for ensuring a better quality of life for elderly citizens.
