In dialogue with Jorge Miguel Yabrudi, leader of the yellow union in the Casanañera capital, it was revealed that Yopal taxi drivers will not benefit from government aid due to high gasoline prices.
In the interview, Jorge Miguel pointed out that this was not what had been requested of President Gustavo Petro and had been agreed upon with the Ministry of Transportation, a situation that was a surprise for the union.

A differential rate was requested in the price of gasoline for public transportation nationwide, but what is being offered is a one-time economic subsidy to transporters, which ultimately does not alleviate the crisis. Furthermore, in the case of Yopal, about 90% of the taxi-type vehicles run on gas.
When referring to the “Competaxi” benefit, announced by President Petro, the leader points out that it is a formula with which a figure between 600 and 800 thousand pesos would be paid a single time, only to the taxi drivers who initially registered, therefore that the controversy has generated confusion, since in Yopal, at least 90% of taxis run on gas and/or gasoline.
For now, the union is seeking a meeting with the Government or the Ministry of Transportation to define what will happen with the allocation of the benefit.
