Tonight (December 3), the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government held a welcome party for the delegation of Olympic athletes from the Mainland in Government House. Government House is the official residence of the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the highest official reception place for the SAR government.

The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Carrie Lam said that since the return of Hong Kong to the motherland, Olympic athletes from the Mainland will visit Hong Kong every time after the Olympic Games, and they are also warmly welcomed by Hong Kong citizens. Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor said that the visit of a delegation of mainland Olympic athletes to Hong Kong reflects the central government’s care for Hong Kong and also reflects the country’s support for the development of Hong Kong’s sports.
