The evaluation achieved by the consortium, the only one to have submitted an offer, was 82.6 points out of 100. The award was signed yesterday afternoon by the president of the Port Authority of the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea, Luciano Guerrieri, who is also extraordinary commissioner for the Darsena Europa, considered the symbolic work of the revival of the Tuscan coast. The competition includes the new Meloria dam, the demolition of the old one and the dredging of the seabed of the access channel to the basins to bring them to -16 meters. Now 90 days will be needed for the executive planning and in the meantime the war reclamation will start. The actual works will begin in 2023: first there is to pass the environmental impact assessment, launched last November which, according to what has been announced, should have halved times compared to the ordinary ones. The duration of the contract is 2,060 days
