Tim takes the chair against fake news. In fact, registrations are open to a cycle of lessons entitled ‘Appointment with Digital Media’, created by Tim for the Italian Digital Media Observatory (Idmo), intended for students (but also for their teachers) of first and second grade schools.
The goal is to develop the critical spirit of young people to enable them to recognize and combat online disinformationand at the same time equip them with new communication skills through digital media.
The training program is free, interested schools, teachers and students will be able to register for each lesson directly from the IDMO education page.

In detail, live lessons in the virtual classroom and on demand with the support of researchers and experts, videos on the topics of Digital and Media Literacy, as well as interactive games and a service in sign language (LIS) will be offered. There is also the final exam: a learning test and, for teachers, a certificate of participation that can be recognized on ‘SOFIA’, the MIUR platform that certifies teacher training.
Sustainability, reducing the digital and gender divide for equitable and inclusive education
It begins on March 23 with ‘The ABC of digital’, a seminar to understand the importance of digital skills in contemporary society. It continues on April 6 with ‘We are all creators’ (methods, languages āāand effects of creating content for the web); April 20 with ‘Privacy and Copyright’ (critical aspects of content creation and sharing). Finally, on May 4th the appointment will be with ‘Information disorder’, to learn how to critically evaluate information and recognize fake news.
