Xbox boss Phil Spencer recently appeared on the Kinda Funny Gamescast podcast, talking to the host about all things Xbox. In the interview, Spencer was asked about other hardware or accessories that might be added to the Xbox family, similar to the way Sony has an updated version of DualSense for PSVR and its controller.
“We are definitely thinking about different types of devices that can bring more games to more places,” Spencer said. “We may do some work on the controller. I think Sony handles the controller very well. We will study some of them, and there are some things we should do.
But it may not be in the customized accessories part now. Let’s take a look at what’s happening in Windows and elsewhere to see if there are unique opportunities. Now I think nothing is obvious to me. “
Earlier this year, Microsoft launched a brief market survey to ask Xbox Series users their experience of using game consoles, including a question: whether users want to see the features provided by DualSense on the Xbox controller.
