Yanfeng District Holds Security Work Deployment Meeting to Prepare for Extreme Weather During Provincial “Two Sessions”
On January 20, Yanfeng District held a security work deployment meeting in response to the upcoming low-temperature rain, snow, and freezing weather during the provincial “two sessions”. Wei Chunsheng, deputy secretary of the district committee and district chief, attended the meeting and delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of consolidating work responsibilities and implementing prevention and stabilization measures to ensure the safety of people’s lives and property.
The meeting highlighted the need to strengthen source governance and carry out in-depth investigations of risks and hazards in various industries and fields under extreme weather conditions. With the entire region expected to experience a long-lasting process of low-temperature rain, snow, and freezing weather, the meeting stressed the importance of putting life first and minimizing the impact of extreme weather on people’s production and daily life.
Furthermore, the meeting called for a problem-oriented approach, proactive identification and rectification of safety issues, and comprehensive prevention and investigation in key areas such as roads, housing, elderly care institutions, construction, residential electricity, and fire protection. District leaders Peng Xiaohong, Kong Weizheng, Liu Heng, Yan Juanhua, and Zhou Zhimin were also in attendance.
