The Secretary of the Alliance at the end of the first day of work of the Vilnius summit
(LaPresse) «We have affirmed that Ukraine will become a member of NATO and we have agreed to remove the requirements for an Action Plan for membership. This will change Ukraine’s accession path from a two-stage process to a one-stage process. We also made it clear that we will invite Ukraine to join NATO when the allies agree and the conditions are met.” This was stated by the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, in the press conference at the end of the first day of work of the Vilnius summit.
