A team of 17 professionals successfully rescued a horse, known as Caramelo, in Canoas, Río Grande do Sul, Brazil, after it became stranded due to flooding. The rescue mission was captured in a viral video that gained attention amidst the disaster that has claimed the lives of over a hundred people.
Weighing 350 kilos, the horse had to be sedated before being transported on an inflatable barge. The operation involved the coordination of four other inflatable boats and four conventional vessels to safely rescue the animal.
