He was a local gangster, the likes of which Switzerland has rarely known. In the black and white photo published on the front page of Daily Jura this Wednesday, Marco Müller stares at the camera, a bit like a Hollywood actor, with a leather jacket on his shoulders. The man enjoyed a special aura in the canton. He was found dead on February 26 at the age of 71, on the railway tracks in Bassecourt, reveals the QJ. A DNA analysis made it possible to identify him. The Public Prosecutor’s Office maintains the theory of suicide.
Marco Müller is no more, but his story remains, that of a promising footballer who became an ace in hold-ups and escapes. After putting on the jersey of SR Delémont, Young Boys (in LNA) and the national junior selection, the man then carried out a series of robberies. The total loot from his criminal career is estimated at nearly 3 million francs, the ATS reports today.
