Champion Denver won the top match in the NBA’s Western Conference at Minnesota (112-115) on Tuesday. Star player Nikola Jokic scored 35 points and collected 16 rebounds.
Minnesota missed three important pawns with Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Robert and Naz Reid. Anthony Edwards scored 30 points, but missed an open shot in the absolute slot to force extra time. For Denver, which is second in the West behind leader Oklahoma, it is the 48th victory this season. The Timberwolves are third.

Williamson banished
New Orleans, for its part, made no mistake visiting Brooklyn, number eleven in the East. The Pelicans won 91-104 and are fifth in the West, one win behind the fourth-place LA Clippers. 23-year-old Zion Williamson (28 pts, 7 rebounds & 4 assists) was the standout player. Partly due to an insane slam.
