ROME. – “President Draghi did not ask us about the distrust of Minister Speranza, but I think he knows very well how we think about it.” The president of Fratelli d’Italia, Giorgia Meloni, at the end of the meeting with Mario Draghi on Recovery confirms that “we are moving forward, we are collecting signatures, we believe that in a democratic system no one is untouchable and everyone must assume the responsibilities that one’s work entails ». In 48 hours – he confirms – over 100,000 signatures were collected on the motion of no confidence, “which means that it is a choice more shared by the Italians than some leftist means”.
The National Recovery and Resilience Plan
Regarding the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Pnrr), says Meloni, “the risk that Parliament and the opposition will not have the opportunity to judge the Plan and have their say in the times and ways that a parliamentary republic requires are very high” . As of today, the leader of the Brothers of Italy points out, “Parliament has discussed a plan by the Conte government. In theory, the PNRR must be presented by April 30, President Draghi will come to the Chamber on April 26, so 4 days earlier ». A confirmation, according to Dfl, that “the role of Parliament in this affair is very marginal”. Which “is something we don’t feel like supporting.” He adds: «I also consider it curious that it was not the government that presented the salient points of its Plan, and that we were rather asked to have our say. We asked to have the right times to be able to evaluate the Plan as a whole and to be able to lower our proposals with the necessary times and methods ». He asked Prime Minister Draghi Fratelli d’Italia for a plan with tables to understand how many resources have been put into each of the strategic choices.
Budget variance: “Not for the receipt lottery”
Giorgia Meloni says she is in favor of voting for the budget variance, “we have almost always voted for it in Parliament”, but “I want to know what to do with resources, where the money goes”. No dry matter when it comes to supporting the Receipt Lottery: “The resources must be put into the production system and we reiterated this to the Prime Minister”.
After a year stop the curfew
On the reopenings Fdl asks the government for a paradigm shift: “For us it is not the prerogative of the Italian government to establish if and when citizens can leave their homes or keep their businesses open.” The rules can also be stringent – Meloni acknowledges – “if two meters are not enough, five meters are needed, but the rule must be general and concern everyone. The government must take responsibility for the protocols but after more than a year the government can no longer be allowed to decide who can do or not do something. Things like the curfew, which have nothing to do with the fight against contagion, for Fdi can no longer be carried out ».
The Puglia case
Meanwhile, on the closures and reopenings Fratelli d’Italia reiterates the need for the commissioner of the Covid management in Puglia: «Until next April 30, only two regions will remain red in Italy: Puglia and Valle d’Aosta. While in the other Regions there is talk of reopening as early as next Monday, Puglia remains in the red zone and certainly not for a single error or even for a few days’ disorganization. We pay the consequences of the inadequacy of the Emiliano-Lopalco duo ». In a joint note signed by Marcello Gemmato (national head of the Health Department of FdI and regional coordinator of Puglia and Basilicata), Raffaele Fitto (co-president of the European group ECR-FdI) and six Apulian regional councilors, Fratelli d’Italia “ago appeal to all the political forces of the national government, even more so to the political forces that with us in Puglia share the opposition to the Emilian government ».
Fratelli d’Italia intervenes, as well as on the situation in Puglia, also on the Campania question: “Even today – declares Senator Antonio Iannone, Campania Regional Commissioner – we are the Region with the most infections in Italy and with a much higher percentage of positive swabs to 10 percent. The Superlega project derives from football
On the sidelines of the meeting, Giorgia Meloni also spoke about the Superlega project: “The son of a slope taken from our football that tended to favor profit over sports,” she defines. “Frankly – he adds – I am not very optimistic about this choice and I fear there is the risk of having a Serie A and Serie B football on which it is worth trying to put your head, even if the story seems to me to be flowing by itself. and without the ability of politics to make itself heard and look for valid alternatives ”.
