Paris Olympic Games official stamps officially released
Last night, the Paris Olympic Organizing Committee and France Post unveiled the official stamps for the upcoming Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. The release took place at the French Postal Museum, where the design of the stamps was revealed to be inspired by the visual identity of the Paris Olympic Games.
This is not the first time that France Post has released official Olympic stamps. The tradition dates back to 1924, when Paris hosted the Eighth Summer Olympics. Since then, stamps have been issued for the 1968 Grenoble Winter Olympics, the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics, and the 2024 Summer Olympics bid announcement in 2017.
The new stamps for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games have garnered significant attention for their exquisite design and use of hot stamping technology. Featuring iconic Parisian landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Seine, the stamps have a face value of 1.96 euros and a total issuance of 800,000. They are set to go on sale to the public starting from the 29th of this month.
Collectors and fans of the Olympic Games alike eagerly anticipate the opportunity to own these official stamps, which serve as a cherished memento of the historic event to come.
