There are no miracle cures in medicine. But for the right patients, the weight loss injection can help. Image: Lisa Rienermann
The so-called weight loss injection has been approved since summer. A doctor and two patients draw an initial conclusion. They tell you who it makes sense for ā and how much the pounds really fall off.
Thatās what the patients say
āThe cravings are historyā

āI am a geriatric nurse, 63 years old and have been overweight for 20 years ā actually since I started doing shift work. At work I donāt have time to eat, and at home I eat even more. And there is no time for sports. At 1.63 meters tall, I weighed 107 kilos before the injection treatment. I started several diets, but the yo-yo effect kept catching up with me. I also have Hashimotoās thyroid disease. My metabolism therefore works slower and my thyroid does not produce enough hormones. This makes losing weight twice as difficult. I now have health problems, for example with my bones, I also have a heel spur and my mobility has suffered. I do not feel comfortable. I donāt have any mental pressure.
