Newcastle United achieved a landslide victory when entertaining Tottenham Hotspur in continuation Premier League. Newcastle won 4-0 over the visitors.
From Newcastle vs Tottenham held at St. James’s Park, Saturday (13/4/2024) evening WIB. The hosts were two goals ahead in the first half.
Tottenham created an opportunity through Brennan Johnson’s cross to Timo Werner. Even though he was unmarked, Werner failed to direct his shot towards the goal.

Newcastle opened the scoring first in the 30th minute. Alexander Isak put Newcastle in the lead after completing a counter-attack.
Anthony Gordon received a long ball from behind and then passed a through ball to Isak. Isak managed to poke Van de Ven before subduing Vicario.
Just two minutes after the first goal, Newcastle broke into Tottenham’s goal again. This time it was Anthony Gordon’s turn to take advantage of Pedro Porro’s backpass error.
Newcastle increased their lead in the 51st minute. Isak scored his second goal in this match after using Bruno Guimaraes’ cross. He dribbled the ball from the middle of the field to beat Vicario in a one-on-one situation.
Fabian Schar’s goal in the 87th minute made Tottenham sink further. Schar gave Newcastle a 4-0 lead with a header following a corner from Anthony Gordon.
Thanks to this victory, Newcastle rose to sixth place in the Premier League standings with 50 points. Meanwhile, Tottenham is stuck in fourth place with 60 points.
