The group Song Chiribanda released their fifth single titled Weekenda unique blend of Pacific sounds.
Song Chiribanda is a group formed by young people from Vigía del Fuerte (Antioquia) and Chocó, territories hit by violence, after their displacement to Medellín, where they influence with their music in the generation of spaces of social coexistence for children and young people of Commune 8 of Medellín and the El Porvenir district in Itagüí
Song Chiribanda has collaborated musically in groups such as Explosión Negra, he has a career of eleven years, participating in cultural agendas of the city, national circulations, recognized local festivals and since 2009 he has been the winner of various calls from the Secretary of Citizen Culture of Medellín .
This musical project arises as a main idea of rescuing our cultural tradition through music performed directly by indigenous instruments of the region such as the bass drum, crash cymbals, clarinet, saxophone and euphonium, which are the symbol of our music, fusing them with modern instruments such as bass, congas, piano and digital instruments.
