Settentrionale Trasporti is preparing to enrich its fleet with the entry of 70 new 500 horsepower Scania Super tractors, which will join the 100 already in operation. This upgrade will guarantee a higher level of safety and connectivity thanks to the sophisticated driving assistance systems ( ADAS) and Scania Smart Dash technology.
Known for its leading role in the national and international transport of waste, Settentrionale Trasporti stands out for its innovation in the sustainable treatment of waste, as in the case of the recovery of used tires and railway sleepers. Now, through a diversified vehicle fleet and constant vehicle renewal, the Treviso company aims to further raise the bar in terms of safety, connectivity and reduction of CO2 emissions.
The new Scania Super tractors, with S cab and advanced safety systems, will be integrated with the innovative digital interface for the driver, Scania Smart Dash. This will not only improve the driving experience and control of the vehicle, but also increase the driver’s efficiency. Northern also plans to purchase 80 new semi-trailers in 2024, including 50 intermodal, maintaining a towed vehicle fleet of 450 units with an average age of less than 5 years.
The CEO of Settentrionale Trasporti, Daniele Stefano, reiterates the commitment to environmental sustainability and efficiency through the constant renewal of the fleet and the adoption of eco-sustainable technologies such as HVO fuel.
Scania Italia, represented by Vehicle Sales Director Daniel Dusatti, expresses satisfaction with the collaboration with Settentrionale Trasporti, underlining the importance of Scania vehicles in the company fleet and the excellence of the service offered.
The partnership between Settentrionale and Scania, started in 2016, has strengthened over time thanks to mutual trust and the quality of the services provided, including vehicle assistance and management.
