In the intentions of the architect who designed it, each capsule could have become a micro apartment or a mini office. Over the years, however, the residential complex has not received maintenance and is now in a state of decay. Several times in the past, there has been talk of a demolition for this iconic Tokyo building, and now – according to Reuters agency – there is certainty: the capsules will be dismantled by March 2022.
