REVIGN THEOR. He knew how to fix cars. All. And, without hesitation, he went to the rescue of those who “remained on foot” with the car. Always available, always kind to Valter Della Bianca customers. He died at the age of 75, overcome by the disease. And with him goes a piece of the history of the hamlet of Driolassa.
Right here, in his country of origin, he had opened in 1975 – after having worked as a boy in a dealership in Udine – his workshop with the attached petrol station to which his wife Ermana was dedicated. A life lived together, theirs. Also shared in work. Valter had continued the activity in via Nazionale Nord until 2001, when his son Francesco took over. «In the workshop my father was always present – he remembers with his brother Fabio -, he had a great passion for vintage cars. He had restored a Topolino with which, together with his friend Toni Gurrisi, they took part in the events, on Sundays they made trips from the sea to the mountains. Sharing this great passion that led him to refurbish other vintage cars too ». «I always remember that he was waiting for me in the square – says Turrisi – and then we left. He was always helpful and kind. A very good person who devoted himself to family, work, community and the many friends with whom he often met to spend some beautiful days together ».
Another great passion of Valter was Udinese. “He had a season ticket in the stands for over 50 years – remember his children – and for nothing in the world he missed a game, so much so that he was able to transmit his love for the Juventus team even to one of his nieces”.
