The Movimento5Stelle su Roma has an excellent candidate: her name is Virginia Raggi, the outgoing mayor. The Movement supports it in a compact and convinced way, at all levels. Virginia is giving a new face to the city and after an initial phase in which its administration had to show signs of discontinuity with the management of the past and had to sow so much, for some time now we have begun to see the clear fruits of this intense work and the Romans are realizing it more and more every day.
It is a pity that the conditions for planning an electoral campaign in close synergy with the Democratic Party have not been met in Rome. I do not know who will be indicated by the Democratic Party as an official candidate and we will respect their choices. However, we hope that their decision does not call into question the common work that has been successfully started a few months ago at the regional government level, which deserves to be completed until the end of the legislature in the interest of all the citizens of the Region.
The electoral campaign that awaits Rome will be a sort of primary in our field, compared to the center-right field. We must act intelligently and make sure that in the event of the second round the privileged dialogue of the Movement with the Democratic Party can bear fruit.
