Ethiopia, the Human Rights Watch complaint: “Abuses on civilians by both sides in the war”

The latest Human Rights Watch report on the conflict in Ethiopia is clear. In the ongoing war between the federal army and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) there have been war crimes and possible crimes against humanity on both sides. Between 31 August and 9 September this year, the TPLF summarily executed dozens of civilians in two cities under its control, in the northern region of Amara, where the ethnic group of the same name lives.
