Julian Ryerson is praised: – Like a pit bull

Watch Dortmund – PSG on TV 2 Play on Wednesday from 20:30!

The 27-year-old defender is the only remaining Norwegian on the men’s side in the Champions League.

Dortmund coach Edin Terzić believes Ryerson is underrated when it comes to his technical skills.

– He does the job for the team and also solves tight situations well, is the assessment of the German.

Ryerson joined the yellow-clad team last January from Union Berlin.

He quickly established himself as a regular in Dortmund. In the Bundesliga this season, he has four goals in his 20 games.

– Every team needs a player like him. He doesn’t say much and just works hard. He is like a pit bull on the pitch, says teammate Emre Can.

– Compliment to Norway

Pitbull has been a recurring nickname for Ryerson in Germany.

The Dortmund boss also used the opportunity to speak up for Norway.

– A great compliment to Norway. I have worked with four Norwegians in my career, and all have been outstanding, said Erling Braut Haaland’s former boss.

In addition, Terzic has worked with Håvard Nordtveit and Martin Samuelsen at West Ham.

– Julian is the Norwegian player who has perhaps had the most success in the last twelve months. An extremely ambitious guy, says Ståle Solbakken to TV 2.

Solbakken: – His own master

The national team manager praises Lyngdøl’s self-confidence.

– Julian is his own master. He is definitely not “mainstream” off the field. Style of clothes, car and a nice sense of security that makes him rest very much in himself are proof of that, says Solbakken to TV 2.

TV 2’s football expert Jesper Mathisen also gets excited.

– No one had imagined that he would play in the semi-finals of the Champions League when he broke through as a youngster in Viking, but the way he has broken through is admirable, says TV 2’s football expert Jesper Mathisen.

– The transition to Dortmund was gigantic for him, but now he has become one of the fans’ favourites, continues the expert.

The match in Dortmund kicks off at 9pm on Wednesday evening.
