Sports clubs can be effective marketing platforms. Two, they can create a bridge of business opportunities. It is in this spirit and with this objective that two Italian basketball Serie A teams have designed and implemented, for Saturday 19 March, an absolutely innovative initiative, at least in the Italian panorama. Moreover, these are two special teams, which combine a strong and long sporting tradition with a widespread ownership model, made up of a multiplicity of companies expressing the entrepreneurial excellence of their respective territories: the UniVerso Treviso consortium and the CAST Trento.
Together to do business
The initiative is in fact owed to the UniVerso Treviso Consortium which, with its 147 members, owns 100% of Treviso Basket and CAST, the Aquila Sport Trentino Consortium, a member of Aquila Basket Trento, made up of over 60 companies. The owners of the two companies have decided to create an opportunity to meet with the aim of establishing business ties, on Saturday 19 March, at the Palazzo della Luce in Treviso. The associates of each consortium will be able to get to know their colleagues and thus generate a cross-business flow. “It is the first time that such an event has been held in Italy: beyond parochialism, we put together two corporate teams that support two different (and competing) professional sports clubs with the aim of squaring the opportunities for mutual business development – explains Piergiorgio Paladin, president of UniVerso Treviso -. I thank my friends from Trento and in particular my colleague Roberto Locatelli who accepted the invitation and involved about thirty of his associates. The hope is that in addition to the possible business that may arise, it will be an opportunity for Trentino friends to visit our city and its beauties ».
The benchmark
«For us – comments Locatelli, president of the Cast – it is the first opportunity for external meetings that can certainly become preparatory to other initiatives, even with other Consortia, but above all a benchmark for similar realities, of our own and of other worlds. We are pioneers of relationships, in a time in which anxiety, insecurity, distrust and divisive behavior prevail ». About seventy companies of the UniVerso Consortium have joined, while more than 30 units will be present from the Cast and will be at the Palazzo della Luce at 2.30 pm for the kick off of the scheduled speed dates. In the morning a delegation of the two realities, including the mayor of Trento Franco Ianeselli is expected in Cà Sugana by the mayor of Treviso Mario Conte and by the Deputy and councilor for sport Andrea De Checchi.
