Enzo Ferrari used to say: “Ask a child to draw a car, he will make it red”. The Ferrari F1 cars, par excellence, have been red since their debut, a choice required by international regulations, which until 1968 provided that each nation had a specific color, a bit like the jerseys of national football teams. Italy went to red; Alfa, Lancia, Maserati and therefore Ferrari each chose a shade of red, to distinguish themselves and to facilitate the recognition of the racing cars by mechanics and timekeepers.
