He was seen falling by other tourists who tried to revive him in vain
AURONZO. He was climbing towards the Auronzo refuge, along the Tre Cime path when he collapsed to the ground. Some passersby tried to revive him but without success. This is how a 65-year-old German tourist died who yesterday, in the early afternoon, was engaged in the excursion to the Auronzo Refuge. Some passers-by saw him fall and alerted 118 for help: they began resuscitation maneuvers under the guidance of the health workers of the Suem plant who in the meantime had sent the helicopter. For the 65-year-old, however, there was nothing to do: the doctors who got off the helicopter rescue could only confirm his death, probably due to a heart attack. The hiker was alone in his walk along the path: the mountain rescue team of the Auronzo financial police intervened on the spot and alerted the family members in Germany through the embassy.
