Soon there will be the extradition of the drug trafficker Raffaele Mauriello, considered among the fugitives “of maximum danger” by the Central Directorate of the Criminal Police, arrested last August in Dubai. This was announced by the Ministry of Justice, explaining that the Abu Dhabi authorities have authorized the start of the process for the delivery to Italy. On August 16, 2021 he was arrested in execution of two orders issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Naples for two serious murders, committed in the Neapolitan area, and violation of the law on weapons. The extradition will be carried out by Interpol.
Upon arrival in Italy, Mauriello will be taken over by the staff of the Penitentiary Police at the offices of the Rome Fiumicino border police to be transported to the detention facility. “The extradition of Mauriello follows shortly after – it is explained in a note – the expulsion to Italy of the drug trafficker Raffaele Imperiale, thus strengthening the turning point in the relations of collaboration between our country and the United Arab Emirates”.
