The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, has been vaccinated: his spokesman announced this, adding that “he is fine” and tomorrow, Wednesday, he will be regularly at work. It was not disclosed which serum was used.
However, a tweet of the official profile dedicated to Sputnik V leaves little doubt about the type of vaccine used to immunize the President. The tweet is accompanied by a photo of Putin with his arms raised and V-shaped fingers in victory.
Russia has developed three vaccines: Sputnik V, EpiVacCorona and CoviVac, but the main focus is on the first, approved in over 50 countries globally. Putin did not vaccinate in front of the cameras.
