Libero De Rienzo, investigations into the cause of death and white powder found in the house

Rome, 17 July 2021 – It is the day after the tragic news of the death of Libero De Rienzo, ‘Picchio’ for friends, extraordinary actor for many. Neapolitan of origin, 44 years old, Libero left at 44 years old leaving his wife, the costume designer Marcella Mosca, and two children aged 2 and 6. In addition to the hundreds of messages of condolence received from institutions and on social media, since yesterday light has begun to shed light on his disappearance. De Rienzo’s body was indeed found Thursday last at 8 pm, from a friend, who had worried that he hadn’t heard from him for a few days, in his home in Rome, in the Madonna del Riposo area. From there, the carabinieri of the Madonna del Riposo station have investigations started on the find.

Sul the body of De Rienzo there would be no signs of violence and yesterday it was communicated that the cause of death would be attributable to a heart attack. The deputy prosecutor Nunzia D’Elia, together with the prosecutor Francesco Minisci, made it known that they had opened an investigation file in which it is hypothesized the crime of “death as a consequence of another crime“. The magistrates will also have thetoxicological examination: the objective of the investigator is to understand whether the actor has taken drugs in the hours preceding his death. A white powder substance it would have been found in the actor’s house: seized by the carabinieri of the Madonna del Riposo station, it will be analyzed in the next few days.

And also on Monday, the prosecutors of the Rome prosecutor will also be entrusted with the task ofautopsy on the actor’s body. The questions remain many and different: was the actor alone? And what is that white powder?
