Germany, explosion at the chemical plant in Leverkusen

BERLIN. An explosion in a chemical park shook the German city of Leverkusen, throwing a large black cloud into the air. Operators at the Chempark site, which is located near Bayer, about 20 kilometers north of Cologne on the River Rhine, said the cause of the explosion was unclear: firefighters and vans were deployed to detect the ‘pollution. We are injured. The causes are unknown for the moment but the inhabitants have been asked to keep doors and windows closed. Civil protection classified the event as “highly dangerous”.
