The A-share market saw a slightly lower opening for the three major indexes today. The Shanghai Stock Exchange Index fell 0.16% to 2,881 points, the Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.19%, and the ChiNext Index fell 0.24%. Despite the lower opening, certain sectors were quite active at the beginning of the session.

The jewelry sector, in particular, saw a lot of activity, with Shenzhen Zhonghua A bidding at the daily limit. The tourism and hotel sector also had a strong start, with Tongqing Tower approaching the daily limit. Additionally, the concept of retirement care was strong, with Dima shares seeing a 3 consecutive board increase.

On the other hand, the shipping and port sector saw a decline, with Air China Ocean Shipping leading the way. The Heilongjiang sector also weakened, with Weidi shares falling nearly 8%. Digital Sentinel, flying cars, and Heilongjiang were among the top losers.
