The African Development Bank’s (Afdb) report on Africa’s macroeconomic performance and outlook in 2024 (Africa’s Macroeconomic Performance and Outlook – MEO) will be officially presented on Friday 16 February, on the sidelines of the 37th African Union summit in Addis Ababa , in Ethiopia.
The Afdb itself made this known today through a note in which it recalls that the report integrates its African Economic Outlook study and is published in the first and fourth quarters of each year.
The MEO 2024 report aims to offer up-to-date, evidence-based assessments of the continent’s recent macroeconomic performances and provides short- and medium-term outlooks in the context of dynamic global economic developments for growth and key macroeconomic indicators.
The launch event will include a round table in which the participation of, among others, the president of Afdb Akinwumi Adesina, the finance ministers of Angola Vera Daves, of Kenya Njuguna Ndun’gu, of Zimbabwe Mthuli Ncube, of Morocco’s Nadia Fettah Alaoui and Lesotho’s Rets’elisitsoe Matlanyane.
