PALERMO – The airline Wizz air today announced its 42nd base in Palermo (it will base 2 Airbus A321 aircraft at Falcone Borsellino airport in June) and announced 7 new routes from Palermo starting from June: Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (Euroairport ), Bologna, London Luton, Milan Malpensa (already operational), Pisa, Turin, Treviso, Verona.
Speaking today at the online press conference for the new routes George Michalopoulos, chief commercial officer of Wizz Air, said: «After 17 years of successful operations in Italy, I am pleased to announce our fourth Italian base in Palermo. Today’s announcement underpins our commitment to develop our presence in Italy and offer more affordable travel opportunities, while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety protocols.
