Amplifon closed the first quarter of the year with revenues of € 495.8 million, up 15.7% at current exchange rates and 14% at constant exchange rates compared to the first quarter of 2021, outperforming analysts’ expectations steady at 489.7 million. On the other hand, the net profit was disappointing, which increased by 34.3% to 32.8 million euros against estimates of 42.2 million. The Amplifon stock slides to Piazza Affari, marking a drop of 1.7% below the 37 euro area.
CEO Enrico Vita underlines: “We have grown much more than the market, further consolidating our leadership position and increasing the market share in key countries, a trend that we expect to continue throughout 2022. The outlook for the hearing market care are positive and the excellent results achieved in this quarter allow us to look with optimism both at the rest of the year and at the medium-term growth prospects of our company ”.
In light of the performance at the beginning of the year, Amplifon confirmed the guidance for 2022 and expects a hearing care market to grow by 4-5%.
