Jan Fuhrmann runs Instagram accounts and the financial and analysis blog “We love stocks”. The 22-year-old has built up a mid-six-figure portfolio, and he strictly divides trading and long-term investing. Fuhrmann currently finds stocks from 3M, Anta Sports and real estate companies such as Public Storage or Mid-America Apartment Communities interesting.
“It was always clear to me that I wanted to go into finance,” says Jan Fuhrmann. The 22-year-old doesn’t know exactly where his passion for finance comes from. “My grandfather worked at the bank, so maybe that influenced me subconsciously,” he suspects.
Today Fuhrmann is on Instagram with the accounts “The shareholders“, „We love stocks” and “Die Trader” on the way. While the first two channels are about long-term investing, Fuhrmann posts articles on technical analysis and trading topics on the third channel. I live quite frugally
Fuhrmann has three portfolios, two of which he uses for long-term investments and one for medium-term investments. How did he manage to build up such a fortune at the age of 22? “I started my own business at the end of my school years and before that I earned some extra money through tutoring. So the basic mindset was there.”
Today Fuhrmann earns money through his social media channels. He is also the managing partner of “Scalegram GmbH” and “Wir Lieben Aktien GmbH”, which is also where he earns money. “I also think I live quite frugally for my standards – except for my car, perhaps.” He has paid a low to mid-six-figure amount into his deposits.

“I strictly share trading and long-term investing.” For him, it is a big mistake to mix these strategies. This only causes confusion and prevents you from sticking to your strategy. Although he no longer does classic day trading: “I tend to do so-called swing trading.
