Audi Urbansphere makes its online debut due to the cancellation of the Beijing 2022 Motor Show, canceled after the increase in Covid19 cases. Designed for use in Chinese megacities, the novelty of the four rings shows an onboard space never seen before on an Audi concept car. What will the mobility of the future be like in the premium segment? According to Audi as anticipated by the prototypes Skysphere, Grandsphere e Urbansphere. The Urbansphere anticipates the future of mobility with a cockpit that can be transformed into a real living room when traveling in automated driving mode with the rear seats reclining up to 60 degrees. Among the innovations is the new infotainment system with large-format transparent oled maxi screen that rotates vertically from the roof area into the area between the rows of seats. Using this “cinema screen”, which occupies the entire width of the interior, the two passengers in the back row can join a video conference together or watch a movie. Split screen use is also possible. When the screen is not in use, it offers a clear view in the front thanks to its transparent design or, when folded upwards, across the glass roof area to the sky. At the same time, there are VR glasses in the left and right door armrests that can be used in conjunction with infotainment options, for example for the Holride system. Thanks to the folding doors, access is even easier.
