BYD sells 93,168 new energy vehicles in January 2022

Caijing.com Auto News February 4 news, recently, BYD Co., Ltd. released a January production and sales report on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In January 2021, BYD’s new energy vehicle sales were 93,168, compared with 20,178 in the same period last year.

According to the report, in January 2022, BYD produced a total of 91,736 new energy vehicles, including 45,727 pure electric vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 199%, and 45,767 hybrid vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 569%.

In the month of 2021, BYD sold a total of 93,168 new energy vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 361%. Among them, 46,386 pure electric vehicles were sold, a year-on-year increase of 220%; 46,540 hybrid vehicles were sold, a year-on-year increase of 760%.

A few days ago, the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone Management Committee signed a cooperation agreement with BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. BYD will invest an additional 20 billion yuan in the construction of the second phase of the Shenzhen-Shantou BYD Auto Industrial Park project. After the project is completed, it will form a production capacity of 600,000 new energy vehicles supporting core components.
