Cariad (Volkswagen) with Qualcomm for assisted driving

Cariad, the Volkswagen Group’s software company, has announced a partnership with Qualcomm Technologies to supply system-on-chip (SoC) for its software platform, designed to enable assisted and automated driving functions up to level 4. I SoCs from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Ride range will be an important hardware component in Cariad’s standardized and scalable computing platform that will be implemented in the Group’s vehicles from the middle of the decade.
