The European car market closes with growth in 2023, but the month of December shows a negative sign. In Europe (EU + EFTA + United Kingdom) – according to data from Acea, the European manufacturers’ association – they were registered in 12,847,481 cars in the year, 13.7% more than the previous year. In December, 1,048,727 cars were sold, down 3.8% on the same month last year.
In 2023, Stellantis registered 2,128,625 cars in Europe (EU, EFTA and UK), 3.7% more than the previous year. The market share is 16.6% versus 18.2%. In December the group sold 136,016 cars, down 14.9% compared to the same month in 2022. The market share fell from 14.7 to 13%.
