China Central Radio and Television Station launched the first of its kind in China with the debut of the Vincent Video AI cartoon series “Ode to Thousand Autumn Poems.” The series was officially unveiled at the China Central Radio and Television Station’s Artificial Intelligence Studio on February 23rd, marking a significant milestone in the integration of technology and art in the media industry.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by Shen Haixiong, Vice Minister of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and Director of China Central Radio and Television, along with other distinguished guests including Dai Qionghai, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Jiang Wenbo, member of the editorial board of China Central Radio and Television Station. Together, they unveiled the CCTV Artificial Intelligence Studio and launched the groundbreaking program.
“Ode to Thousand Autumn Poems” focuses on more than 200 poems from nationally compiled Chinese textbooks, transforming them into beautiful national style animations using AI artificial intelligence technology. The first batch of six episodes, including “Ode to the Goose,” aims to immerse viewers in the feelings of family and country portrayed in classic Chinese poetry.
Jiang Wenbo highlighted the station’s commitment to technological innovation, emphasizing the role of AI in empowering creative transformation within the media industry. The establishment of the “CCTV Listening Media Big Model” R&D community and the unveiling of the Artificial Intelligence Studio further showcase China Central Radio and Television’s dedication to high-quality content production and technological advancement.
The China Central Radio and Television Station Artificial Intelligence Studio will play a crucial role in advancing AIGC core technology research and innovative application development. Through collaboration with leading scientific research institutions and enterprises, the studio aims to enhance the station’s capabilities in program production and innovative content creation.
“Ode to Thousand Autumn Poems” represents a groundbreaking use of AIGC technology in Chinese media production, offering a new perspective on traditional Chinese poetry through modern animation techniques. The program is set to premiere on CCTV-1 on February 26th, reaching a wide audience both on television and online platforms.
